James W. Bushey

1942 – 2016

West Springfield – James W. Bushey, 74, died Monday evening in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  James was born and raised in Chicopee and has lived in West Springfield for the past 30 years.  He worked in the Trucking business most of his life with McClean Trucking, Yellow Trucking, Sears, Sulco Company and with the Teamsters.  His wife Gayle (Dorman) Bushey died in 2012.  He leaves his children William and his wife Isabel, Keith, Chris and his wife Holly; Phyllis Dorman and Beth Cohen and her husband Mark.  He also leaves his siblings Robert, Al and Marion; nine grandchildren Ashley, Barry, Jose Jr., Anthony, Amanda, Andrew Alicia, Audrey, Marianna and eight great grandchildren.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 – 6:30pm.  A private burial will take place in St. Jerome Cemetery.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
