James Chapin
1947 – 2012

SOUTHWICK – James Chapin, 65, of Sheep Pasture Road, died Tuesday in Noble Hospital. James was born in Springfield, the son of the late James and Marilyn (Oski) Chapin and has lived in Southwick for most of his life. James held various jobs and worked as a general laborer, janitor, and also as a jewelry assembler. James was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed his coffee and listening to the oldies on the radio. James leaves a cousin Elizabeth Thayer. James will be sadly missed by his Berkshire County Arc family and many friends including Pat, Bruce, Al, John and Earl. Thank you to the Southwick Police, Fire Department, and the staff at Noble Hospital for their support.
The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 11:00am with private burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Hinsdale, NH. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service on Monday from 10 – 11:00am. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
