James E. Finnie, 87, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 8, 2026.  Born in Pontiac, Michigan, son of the late Edward J. and Helen J. (Keeler) Finnie, he lived in West Springfield since 1954.  James worked as a lead man for the former Hamilton Standard, retiring in 2003.  He was an Air Force veteran of Berlin Crisis.  He enjoyed being a grandpa, great-grandpa, car rides and trips to the casino.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Michael and Christopher Finnie. He leaves his wife of sixty years, Louise P. (DeAngelis) Finnie, two daughters, Karen Baker of Agawam, Maureen Cannamela of Enfield, a son-in-law, David Cannamela, Sr., of Springfield, two brothers, Paul Finnie of Chicopee, Russell Finnie of Agawam, a sister, Carolyn Dineen of Holyoke, four grandchildren, Dominic Cannamela and his partner Courtney, Erica Nally and her husband Patrick, Zachary Baker and his wife Emma, David Cannamela, Jr., two great-grandchildren, Zoey Baker, Grace Baker and four bonus great-grandchildren, Annie, Ana, Rylee and Julian. All services are private and Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.
