James C. Krupienski

1932 - 2019

Southwick - James C. Krupienski, 87, formerly of Westfield died peacefully Monday morning at home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on a farm in Feeding Hills, son of the late Charles and Helen (Nacewicz) Krupienski.  He was a 1949 graduate of Agawam High School and later received his bachelor's degree in Accounting from A.I.C.  He worked at the Springfield Armory before entering the United States Army, where he became a decorated Korean War Veteran and served as an Ordinance Technical Intelligence Specialist.  After discharge from the Army, Jim was employed by the Internal Revenue Service as a Field Agent for 30 years retiring in 1989.  Jim was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara J. (Rossmeisl) Krupienski.   He leaves his current wife Jean (Cotton) Krupienski; six children James Krupienski, Karen Reardon, Becky Bannish, Deborah Sulewksi, Donna Gaskin and Sandra Harrington.  He also leaves a brother Raymond Krupienski; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Jim was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Patriots, Celtics, Yankees and UConn women's basketball.  He loved his fishing trips to Canada with his children, grandchildren and friends.   Visiting hours will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday, Dec. 10 th from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  Family and friends are invited to meet at Grace Lutheran Church, West Springfield on Wednesday, Dec. 11 th at 10:00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, Feeding Hills.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church.
