James R. Scheer

1956 – 2017

West Springfield – James R. Scheer, 60 of Bradford Drive died Thursday at home.  James was born in Springfield the son of Lorraine (Gurly) Quinn and the late Arthur Scheer.  He was a graduate of Classical High School and has lived in West Springfield for the past 5 years.  James worked as a School Bus Driver for the First Student Bus Company in Springfield for the past 21 years.  He also served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  Besides his mother he leaves a son Michael James Scheer; grandson Peyton Scheer; brother George Scheer and sisters Debbie Quinn and Lori Lessard .  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
