Jane R. Landry

1927-2018

WEST SPRINGFIELD-Jane R. (Griffin) Landry, 90, of Greenleaf Avenue, died Thursday in Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she has lived in West Springfield for most of her life. She was the retired President of Griffen Tire Company in West Springfield. Jane was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and was a member of the St. Thomas Women's Club. She was active in Town politics as a member of the Democratic Town Committee and was Democrat of the Year in 2000. Jane was also a member of the West Springfield St. Patrick's Parade Committee. Her husband Ronald B. Landry died in 1998, son John F. Landry died in 2003 and daughter Mary-Jane Landry died in 2013.  She leaves a daughter Catherine C. Landry; granddaughter Brenna Sutter and her husband Dan and two great grandchildren Griffin and Teagan. The funeral Mass will be Saturday 11:30am in St. Thomas Church followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. No calling hours. West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
