Jane M. (Makara) Modzeleski, 92, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Jane was born and raised in Chicopee and has lived in Agawam since 1951. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School and Northampton Commercial College. She worked briefly at Uniroyal in Chicopee and spent the remainder of her life as a homemaker, taking care of her family. A communicant of St. John the Evangelist, Jane was active with the local 4H and was a longtime volunteer with 4H at the Big E. She was a past member of the Hampden County Improvement League. Her husband of 64 years, Edward F. Modzeleski died in 2013. She leaves her two sons David and Mark Modzeleski. Besides her husband, Jane was predeceased by a sister Alice Luce. Family and friends are invited to the funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020 at 10:00am followed by burial in Agawam Center Cemetery.
