Janette A. (Rivera) Rivera, 52, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Juan A. Rivera, Sr., and Teofila Aponte, she was a lifelong resident and a 1990 graduate of Commerce High School.  Janette worked as a counselor for area non-profit organizations.  She enjoyed crafting, was an avid reader, and loved to travel, especially taking trips to Disney World.  She leaves her husband of twenty-six years, Daniel Rivera, a son, Jayden D. Rivera, two daughters, Amalia R. Rivera and Annalisa V. Rivera all at home, two brothers, Anthony Rivera, Juan Rivera, Jr., a sister, Carmen Aponte all of Springfield, and nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be Friday at 9am from the Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield with a Mass at St. Michael's Cathedral at 10.
