Janice Ann Argiro, 84, passed away with family at her side on Tuesday, March 2nd. Janice was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Irving and Helen (Wircinger) Plant. Janice was a 1955 graduate of West Springfield High School, after which she built her career, first in banking, then as a staffing coordinator. Janice was a loving, devoted mother to her three sons, one of which gave her gray hair. In recent years, Janice found joy in volunteering at her local library, elementary school, and senior center. Janice was an avid gardener, and loved spending time in the company of family and friends. Janice is predeceased by her sister Elaine, her husband Albert and her beloved son, Michael. Janice leaves behind her two sons: David Argiro of Naples, FL and his sons Joshua Bozak and Michael Argiro; Allan Argiro and wife Donna of East Otis and their children Michael Constantino, Joseph and Angela Argiro, and Miranda, Veronica, and Dean Fredo-Argiro; seven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. The family suggests that those wishing to celebrate Janice might plant a flower, or eat a dish of their favorite ice cream. Committal rights for Janice will be held at the convenience of the family.
