Janice E. (Leno) Burns Bragdon

1929 – 2017

West Springfield – Janice E. (Leno) Burns Bragdon, 87, died Friday in a Holyoke Nursing Home. Janice was born in Montpelier, VT and has lived in West Springfield over 30 years. She was a retired 25 -year Information Operator for the phone company and long-time member of the West Springfield V.F.W. Auxiliary. Her first husband Norman C. Burns died in 1965 and her second husband Garfield Bragdon died in 1991. She leaves two sons Norman Burns and his wife Jeanne of Agawam and Michael W. Burns and his wife Lois of South Hadley; a brother Morris Leno; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her two husbands, Janice was predeceased by a daughter Cynthia Burns Bercerguay in 2014. A private funeral will be held with burial in North Branch Cemetery in Vermont. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
