Janice A. Fortunato, 76, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.  Born in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (LaPenta) Fortunato, Janice lived in the Hartford area most of her life.  Janice received a degree in English from the University of Connecticut and then became a registered nurse receiving her degree from St. Louis University.  She worked as a registered nurse in the Hartford, CT area for many years. She was also a member of the Carmelite Order.  She leaves a brother and his wife, Gilbert and Bernadine Fortunato of Feeding Hills, a nephew, Joseph Fortunato (Rachael) and a niece, Linda Griffin (Michael).  She was predeceased by a sister, Linda M. Fortunato.  Calling hours are Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 9-10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Mass at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, in Feeding Hills, MA.
