Jean M. Ackerman

1932 – 2020

Feeding Hills – Jean M. Ackerman, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday in Baystate Medical Center.  She was the wife of Robert V. Ackerman, Sr.  They shared over 60 years of marriage together.  Born in Worcester she was the daughter of Benjamin and Ethyl Carpenter.  She graduated from college in Springfield with a degree in Nursing. She worked in various hospital setting throughout her career.  She was a longtime member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Springfield.  Jean enjoyed craft fairs and spending time with family.  She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ackerman Sr. in 2017.  She is survived by her sons Robert V. Ackerman Jr. and Richard H. Ackerman, her five grandchildren, Heather, Faith, Lindsay, Matthew, and Marisela: six great grandchildren Kyle, Mia, Colin, Alex, Autumn, and Liam.  She also leaves behind her beloved pets Minnie and Priscilla.  A memorial service will be held privately.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial donations in Jean's name may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Springfield, MA .
