Jean E. Andrews
1920-2011

WEST SPRINGFIELD-Jean E. (Lewis) Andrews, 91, died at Baystate Medical Center April 29th. She was a life long resident of West Springfield. Daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor (Gibbs) Lewis, she was an active member of the Mittineague United Methodist Church for over 85 years. Jean received her BA from American International College and a Masters Degree from Westfield State College. She retired from the West Springfield school system in 1981 after being the "home teacher" for many years. Jean was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Bob Williams and wife Linda S., Linda J. Williams and daughter-in-law Lisa Perrott, David Bressette and wife Sue. She leaves four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Jean is fondly loved and remembered by all who knew her for delicious pies, fantastic knitting, passion for the Red Sox, incredible big heart, generosity, and devotion to the church. Calling hours are Sunday May 1st 4-7 PM at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home and funeral services will be Monday May 2nd at 10AM, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Paucatuck Cemetery.
