Jean C. (Fleming) Carter, 91, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, on April 14, 1934, to the late John W. and Eileen (Perkins) Fleming, she grew up in West Springfield and attended West Springfield High School. Jean worked in the accounting department for the former Third National Bank and later, after attending STCC for a nursing degree, for Dr Markham of Pioneer Valley Cardiology Group.  She retired and moved to Agawam in 2000. She had a son, Donald Carter, who died in 2007.  She leaves behind a son, Roy Carter of Plymouth, and two daughters, Elizabeth Schumann and Elaine Carter, both of Agawam. She also leaves her twin sister Joan Brouillette of West Springfield, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The celebration of her life will be on Monday, April 28, 2025 at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 5-7pm followed by a funeral home service at 7pm. The burial will be Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1pm at Springfield Street Cemetery.
