SPRINGFIELD – Jeannette M. (St. Jean) Michon, 86 of Chestnut Street died Thursday in Mercy Hospital. Jeannette was born in Gardner and lived in Canada before moving to Springfield in 1977. She worked out of her home as a hairdresser and was a longtime member of the Hobby Club. Her husband Jean Michon died in 1980. She leaves a son Rene Michon of Weavertown, NY; two daughters Victoire Kwolek and Gloria Plouff both of Springfield; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a grandson Robert Kwolek. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 10:00am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00am. A private burial will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery in Gardner. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104 or to the charity of one's choice.
