Jeffrey C. Felix, 63, of West Springfield, died at his home on Friday morning February 20th. He was born September 10, 1951, in Springfield, MA, a son of the late Carl and Theresa ( Paier ) Felix. He was a graduate of West Springfield High School and attended St Anselm College and Springfield College from where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master's of Education Degree, Cum Laude. He was employed for many years as a Counselor with Goodwill Industries until his retirement. He served as a longtime member of the Commission on Disabilities for the Town of West Springfield. He also was a speaker at local colleges and universities on Spinal Cord Disabilities. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Streeter, and his nephew Russell Jennison. He leaves his brother Donald Felix and his wife Jeanne. He also leaves five nephews. Barry, Daniel, Andrew, and Matthew Felix, and Gary Cassidy. Over the past years Jeffery greatly appreciated the care he received from his dedicated group of Personal Care Attendants who became part of his extended family. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 9:00 am. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St Thomas the Apostle Church of West Springfield at 10:00 am followed by burial in the St Thomas Cemetery.
