Jennie C. Mattingly

Longmeadow – Jennie C. (Cresta) Mattingly, 90, of Longmeadow and Vallejo, CA passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 in California. Jennie was born in Boston on August 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Mancini) Cresta. She grew up in Portsmouth, NH and resided in Longmeadow, after her retirement she lived in Florida before moving to California in 2013. She worked as an Industrial Engineer for William Carter in the Time and Motion Studies Department for many years and later worked for Buxton of Agawam for 8 years until her retirement in 1984. She and her late husband Albert L. Mattingly enjoyed traveling, skiing and golf. She is survived by her two loving sons, Charles Legalos and partner Rene' Fernandez of Mare Island, CA and Robert Legalos and wife Dianne of West Springfield; her brother Anthony Liquori; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Susan Handel. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
