Jessica Godek, 23, of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, April 22 ^nd , 2017. She was born in Springfield at Baystate Medical Center, grew up in South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High School in 2011. She attended Holyoke Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked as a pre-school teacher at Playful Minds in South Hadley and she loved taking care of her babies, as she called them. Jessica loved arts and crafts and bonfires. Jessica was very active with her family at the Fairview Knights of Columbus Council #4044. She volunteered for Bingo every Thursday, the Annual Tootsie Roll Drive, the Children's Christmas Party, and Children's Halloween Party. She leaves her parents Kevin and Roxanne (Messier) Godek, her brother Benjamin, sister Abby and Grandfather Roger Messier, all of South Hadley, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours at the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME in South Hadley will be Friday 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday, 9:00 to 10:30 am. The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Church, South Hadley. The burial will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family.
