Joan Bowe
1939 – 2016

Agawam – Joan (Noyes) Bowe, age 77, passed away Monday May, 16, 2016 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She had suffered from the causes of dementia and diabetes which finally took its toll. Joan was born March 16, 1939 in Reading, MA the only daughter of John and Julia (Grant) Noyes and has lived in Agawam most of her life. For over 35 years she was a School Teacher for Blueberry Hill Elementary School in Longmeadow retiring in 2001. Upon retirement she was an active member at the Agawam Senior center. She enjoyed listening to the Red Sox games, Jazz music and family vacations to Wells Beach, ME. Her husband Richard I. Bowe Jr. predeceased her in 1988. She leaves her son Rick Bowe and his wife Brenda of Southwick and her three grandchildren Jared, Kelsie and Kendra. The family wishes to thank the staff of C wing at Heritage Hall West Nursing Home for their care and attentiveness. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
