Joan E. Cross

1937 – 2018

Chicopee – Joan E. (Martin) Cross, 80, died peacefully Sunday in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  Joan was born in Springfield, graduated from Commerce High School and has lived in Chicopee for the past 56 years.  She was an employee for Neil & Neil Insurance Company in West Springfield.  She leaves her husband of 60 years Norman Cross; three children Diana Harper, Thomas Cross and his wife Olga and Deb Burke and her husband David; a brother Gary Brodeur and his wife Carla and five grandchildren Jessica and Liam Burke, Emma, Joseph and Marci Cross.  She was predeceased by two young children Michael and Linda and her brother Earl Martin.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday, March 16 ^th from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 17 ^th at noon in St. Michael's Cemetery.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
