Joan D. (Stowers) Manser, 93, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Shaw) Stowers, she grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School.  Joan worked for the former KMart in West Springfield until its closing.  She lived in West Springfield for over sixty years and the last twenty-eight years at Oxford Place where she was active in the tenants association.  She enjoyed gardening, Bingo and playing cards.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Manser in 1989, and two daughters, Robin P. Norrod in 2010 and Wendy Jo Manser in 1960.  She leaves four sons and their wives, Richard W. and Geri Manser of West Springfield, Mark E. and Susan Manser of Manchester, CT, Kevin R. and Kerri Manser of West Springfield, Scott A. and Michelle Manser of Agawam, a daughter and her husband, Debra J. and Gary Marquis of Allen, TX, a son-in-law, Larry Norrod of California, sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10am at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield.
