Joan E. (Steady) Richard, 80, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 20, 2015. Born in St. Albans, Vermont, daughter of the late George and Josephine (Jarvis) Steady, she lived in South Hadley most of her life before moving to Biddeford, ME in 2010. Joan worked for the former Providence Hospital for ten years. She had been a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. She will be remembered as always giving and helping her family however best she could. Her husband, Henry P. Richard died in 1977 and a daughter, Karen Davidson died in 2010. She leaves two sons and their wives, Mark and Debra Richard of Sebastian, FL, Christopher and Dianna Richard of Granby, MA, two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Kenneth Gruett of Sebastian, FL, Michelle and Rich Allen of Biddeford, ME, a brother, Leo Steady of Delaware, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 8am from the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street with a Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 9. The burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
