John J. Bradley

WEST SPRINGFIELD – John J. Bradley, 89, died Wednesday surrounded by his family. John was born in Waltham, graduated from Cambridge Latin High School and Boston University, and had lived in Winchester 38 years before moving to West Springfield in 1993. He was the New England District Manager for Provident Life & Accident, retiring in 1983 after 38 years. During World War II he served aboard the U.S.S. Brooklyn for the United States Navy. He also served as Treasurer for the West Springfield Senior Center and enjoyed time with his family and his summers growing up in Lake Shore Park on Lake Winnipesauke. He also spent his time wood carving, playing golf, sailing, and biking. He leaves his wife Jean L. (Perry) Bradley; four children Jay and his wife Donna, Neil and his wife Sara, Steve and his girlfriend Donna and Beth Reeves and her husband Michael; six grandchildren, J.T., Tim, Samantha, Conor, Kevin and Garrett and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at noon with burial in Wildwood Cemetery in Winchester on Wednesday at Noon.
