John W. Henchey Jr., 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born in Winchendon, MA, on February 17, 1936, he was the son of the late John W. Sr., and Johanna (Moriarty) Henchey. John was also predeceased by two sisters, Fern Knight and Catherine Lorenz, his wife of 60 loving years, Judith A. (Rocker) Henchey, a beloved grandson, Cameron Desrosiers, and daughter-in-law Sheri Henchey. John leaves behind eight children; Robert W. Henchey, Steven C. Henchey, Sharon L. Read, Daniel T. Henchey, David A. Henchey, Allen D. Henchey, John W. Henchey III, Dianne J. Kaiser, and their spouses; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. He loved the Red Sox and catfishing on the Connecticut river often listening to the ball game while fishing. John was a long – time member of Bethany Assembly of God, volunteering his time as an usher and transported members to and from church. He spent many years delivering oil for Noonan Energy until he retired, to enjoy time with family. The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Bethany Assembly of God starting with calling hours from 11 am – 12 pm.
