John C. Lezon

1951 –2019

West Springfield – John Carl Lezon, 68, of Kelso Avenue died Friday in Baystate Medical Center.   John was born in Springfield, grew up in Baltimore and returned to the Springfield area in 1961.  He worked at Goodwill Industries for many years and participated in the Special Olympics from 1984 through 1998.  He was a member of Lighthouse in Springfield and was an avid collector of toy latex balloons.  He was predeceased by his parents John and Laura Lezon and a sister Laura Johnson.  He leaves his dear friend Matthew Halle.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday September 27 ^th at 10:00 am followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
