John J. Mulvaney
1941 – 2015

CHICOPEE – John J. Mulvaney, 73 died Sunday at home. Born and raised in Springfield, he was a 1959 graduate of Technical High School and has lived in Chicopee for the past 15 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 41 years of service. In the late 1950's, Jack served as a batboy for the Springfield Giants and has been an avid sports fan his entire life, especially the Boston Red Sox. He leaves five children Debra Lepianka and her husband Joe, Beverly Mulvaney, Jayme T. Sharpe and his wife Laurie, Joseph Mulvaney and his wife Joyce, and John F. Mulvaney, Patty Burns, Seamus. He also leaves his siblings Ronald Mulvaney and Patricia Crogan; seven grandchildren Bryan and Tiffany Martell, Joseph and Hadleigh Lepianka and Preston, Branden and Corey Sharpe and four great grandchildren Raymond, Gregory, Aubrey and Atreyu.
