John T. Mustain
1933 – 2013

AGAWAM – John T. Mustain, 79 formerly of Holland Drive died Tuesday in the Holyoke Soldier's Home surrounded by his family. John was born in Chicago; he grew up in River Grove, ILL, Evergreen Park, ILL and Bucyrus, OH before moving to the Springfield area. A 1952 graduate of Classical High School, John attended Western New England College and A.I.C. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and specialized in Electronics and Advance Radar. He retired as a Supervisor of Program Planning for Hamilton Standard of United Technologies. John was predeceased by his wife Shirley Mustain in 2011. He leaves a son John T. Mustain Jr. and his wife Cheri of Longmeadow; a daughter Kathleen M. (Mustain) Milani and her husband Victor of Bennington, VT. ; two brothers Lester and Eugene Mustain and four grandchildren Samantha, Danielle, Ajay and Vincent. The funeral will be held at Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 2:00pm followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral form 1:00 – 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holyoke Soldier's Home, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
