West Springfield-John A. Protono, 61, died Friday at home. John was an avid Red Sox fan who also loved to play the guitar. He was very artistic and a kind and gentle man who will be missed. John was a carpet and upholstery cleaner for the family business. He leaves his mother Rose Protono and two sisters Laurie and Caroline Protono. The funeral service will be Thursday at 6:30 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Thursday 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
