WEST SPRINGFIELD – John J. Skok Jr., 64 of Garden Street died several weeks ago at home. John was born in Springfield, the son of the late Helen (Chiusano) and John J. Skok Sr. He served during the Vietnam War with the United States Navy and had worked for the D.P.W. in West Springfield. He leaves four children Sherry and John Laurin, Holly Peery and Jessica Schmaltz; three sisters Rosie Sharrow, Joanne Hennessey and Donna Skok; a brother Steven, his longtime girlfriend Isabelle Gordine and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Saturday at 9:00am. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4:00 – 6:00pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home.
