John R. Szymczyk, 42, died Thursday at Baystate Medical Center. He was raised in Longmeadow and most recently has been living in Indian Orchard. John had an avid love for the outdoors, cars, friends, dogs and especially his family. He was predeceased by his father Reverend Mr. Rodney Szymczyk. He leaves his mother Sylvia (Basile) Szymczyk with whom he lived, brothers Raymond Szymczyk and his wife Tracey and Gerard Szymczyk and his wife Dawn, sister Roseanne Riordan and her husband John, cousins Richard and Ken Izyk, nieces Alyssa, Kayla and Katelyn, nephews Matthew, Nathan, Michael, Daniel and John and his lifelong friend Peter Goldsmith. The funeral home service will be Wednesday October 9 ^th at 10 am at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00pm.
