John T. Foley
1957-2011
SPRINGFIELD-John (Jack) T. Foley of Springfield passed away suddenly at Baystate Medical Center on Friday March 18, 2011 in the arms of his loving companion Karen and with his brother and sister-in-law Tom and Katri Foley. Born in Springfield on May 31, 1957 he was the son of Thomas P (jelly donuts) and Mary C. Foley. Jack was a graduate of Cathedral High School (class of 1975) and continued his education at Holyoke Community College. In the early 80's he completed a training program from the Massachusetts Career Development Center in Springfield. Upon competition of the program he spent 25 years in world-wide sales for computer peripheral equipment. During his sales career Jack was lucky to live in several major New England cities. In the mid 2000's he returned to Springfield to be near his aging parents. Currently, he was employed as a property manager for Morgan Square apartments in downtown Springfield after a few years in regional sales for Terminix. Jack enjoyed making everyone and anyone he met laugh and he always had a warm smile for them. He is survived by his companion Karen Laviolette and a son Shawn Ulloa of Boston together with his brothers and sister-in-laws Robert T. and Kristine Foley of Sandwich, MA and Thomas P. (CPA) and Katri A. Foley of South Hadley, MA along with a sister and brother-in-law Mary Ellen and Thomas Jarosz of Chicopee. He will also be deeply missed by a niece Alicia Foley of Easthampton and a nephew Rob Foley of Boston. After returning to Springfield he enjoyed spending his summers in Westbrook, Ct with many of the friend that he grew up with in the Atwater Park, Hungry Hill and Forest Park sections of Springfield. The funeral will be Saturday at 9 am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 am. Calling hours are Friday 4-7 pm.
