John Nicholas Weinle III passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the age of 67 with his wife of 40 years, Phyllis Ann, by his side. Born on March 26, 1949 and raised in Westfield, MA, John was the son of John N. Weinle II and Louise B. Weinle. He was a graduate of Westfield Vocational High School. John received a BA from Western New England College School of Business. In 1969, John enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country and is a Vietnam Veteran. John recently retired from his job as an Auditor with National Railroad Passengers - Amtrak. John loved life and had a passion for his family and his garden; especially his tomatoes plants. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann, daughter Nicole Ann and her husband Robert Banspach, daughter Melissa and her husband John Dorman, his son John N. Weinle IV, his son Michael Joseph who predeceased him, his sister Nancy and her husband Bruce Collina, his sister Patricia Morris and her husband Matt Pflugi, and his uncle Dr. James J. Dowd. John's funeral will be held 9:00am Monday, June 6, 2016 at Saint Thomas Church of West Springfield followed by the burial at Saint Thomas Cemetery.
