FEEDING Hills – Joseph "Paul" Chartier, 68, died Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Holyoke the son of the late Joseph "Fred" and Edna (Blanchard) Chartier. He was a machinist for Hamilton Sundstrand for 27 years until his retirement in 2008. He leaves his loving wife of 47 years Sophie (Dudek) Chartier; two daughters, whom he adored, Carol Hinckley and her husband Kenny and Deborah Littlefield and her husband Jeffrey; four grandchildren Jonathan, Kassandra, Jasmin and Marissa; a niece Gina and nephews Donald, David, Tony, Dominic and many great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Paul was predeceased by a brother Normand Chartier. An avid animal lover, Paul loved each of his dogs like they were family. Visiting hours will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00pm. A private burial will take place in Springfield Street Cemetery.
