AGAWAM - Joseph D. Rousseau, 84, of Suffield Street died Friday, October 26, 2012. Joe, son of deceased Father Alphonse, Mother Eva and Sister Yvette, was born in Chicopee and lived in Holyoke most of his life before moving to Agawam 15 years ago. He owned and operated J.D. Rousseau Construction Company until his retirement in 1992. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of Holyoke Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Home Builders. Married for 62 years, he leaves his wife Maude (Hicks) Rousseau and three siblings; daughter Lorrie Ann of Agawam; son Steven James and wife Jeanette of Concord, N.C. and son Wayne Joseph and wife Rosalina of Fall River; 9 grandchildren; Marissa , Joseph, Rene, Wayne II, Justin, Stacey, Carlos, Jason and Steven along with 7 great grandchildren; Jaice, Kaine, Victoria, Ricky, Leah , Jackson, Ryder, Hearteyona, Davon, Addison and sister Lucille Klosek. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9:30am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday 4-7 pm.
