Joseph Thomas
Ventura
June 7, 1969 – September 8, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Joseph Thomas Ventura, a cherished member of our community. On September 8, 2023, at the age of 54, Joe left us all too soon, leaving behind a profound sense of grief.
Joe's talents were boundless, but it was his passion for music and artistry that truly defined him. As the lead singer of the Bon Jersey Tribute Band, his performances at iconic venues such as Mohegan Sun, Indian Ranch, Newport Blues, and local casinos, festivals, and benefit programs brought joy to countless hearts.
Not only was Joe a gifted musician, but he also made a meaningful impact through his artistic pursuits. Collaborating with the Patriots and various NFL teams, he dedicated his talents to the "My Cleats, My Cause" campaign and the Bill Belichick Foundation. Through his meticulous airbrushing work, he adorned cleats worn by players, leaving a heartfelt mark on the world of sports. His artistic brilliance extended to the NHL, where he designed helmets for teams and colleges through Pro-Masque.
His love for the Southwick Motocross Family and the motorcycle community was also well known. He proudly sang the National Anthem at the Motocross Nationals held in Southwick, MA over the course of several years.
Joe was truly passionate about camping in Southwick and Lake George, where he found solace and joy in the company of his beloved friends and cherished family. These precious moments spent together became treasured memories that will never be forgotten.
His love story with his high school sweetheart and soulmate, Wendy (Messier) Ventura of Ludlow, spanned over three decades, filled with unwavering commitment and devotion. Together, they created a beautiful family, centered around their cherished son Zachary Ventura and his fiancé Amanda Marshall, along with their two sons, Jameson and Easton of Ludlow. Joe's love for his family knew no bounds; his grandchildren were his world, his reason for being.
Joe was blessed with a loving mother, Geraldine Briggs Ventura of Warren, and shared a special bond with his brother Thomas Ventura and his wife Michelle of Hadley, as well as his brother Angelo Ventura of Warren. Sadly, Joe was preceded in death by his beloved father, Thomas Ventura. The memories Joe leaves behind will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his adoring nieces and nephews, and will be eternally cherished by his extensive network of loving relatives and friends who were touched by his genuine kindness and compassion.
Joe's selfless nature was apparent to all who knew him. He possessed a remarkable ability to put others before himself, particularly in his tireless efforts to advocate for children with disabilities. Joe's impact on the lives he touched was immeasurable.
