Joyce Ann Vezina

1954-2016

West Springfield – Joyce Ann Vezina, 62, passed away peacefully Friday morning surrounded by her loving family.  Joyce was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She worked as a nurses' aide in local nursing homes, helping patients with Alzheimer's Disease.  Joyce loved to decorate, have coffee and conversation with friends, her family, the ocean and motorcycles.  She was also into natural healing and was a native American enthusiast.  Tragically, Joyce was predeceased by her daughter Renee Thibeault-Herbert who died in April.  She leaves two daughters Ericka Lee Thibeault, and Dunielle Marie DeMarco; her mother Norma Henault; siblings Brenda Vezina-Jodaitis and her husband George, Albert Vezina, Denise Morton and her husband Bill, the late Dianne Bigelow and her husband Richard, Sandra Simino and her husband Mark and the late Brian Vezina.  Joyce was known as "Bovo" by her granddaughter Natalia DeMarco with whom she lived.  She also leaves her grandchildren Thomas Pirnie, Sean Herbert, Mason Pirnie, Gillian Pernie, Elise Herbert, and Ava Cullison and her devoted dog "Wilma".  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
