Judith M. Beyer

1939 – 2017

SOUTH HADLEY – Judith M. (Powers) Beyer, 77, passed away on October 28, 2017 at Wingate of South Hadley surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born in Holyoke on November 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Frank and Sylvia (Potter) Powers. She was a lifelong resident of South Hadley and graduated from South Hadley High School in 1957. Judy worked at Sears & Roebuck Co. in Holyoke until 1960, when she got married and decided to raise her family. When her children were grown she went back to work at the College Bookstore in South Hadley. She was a member of the Former South Hadley Falls Congregational Church, where she served as a deaconess for many years. She leaves her devoted husband and best friend of 57 years William "Billy" Beyer Sr. She also leaves her loving children William Jr. and his wife Suzanne of South Hadley, Karen Beyer of Chicopee, David and his girlfriend Laura of South Hadley and three cherished grandchildren Adam, David and Samantha. She also leaves her dear nieces and nephews.   The Funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 10:00am followed by burial in Village Cemetery.
