Judith E. (Popp) Mercier Lind, 70, completed her life on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at home. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Bernard and Eva (Cote) Popp, she lived in West Springfield, Springfield and South Hadley before moving to Chicopee in 1982. Judith had worked for over thirty years as a medical technician at Mercy Medical Center before retiring in 2011. Her husband, Andrew D. Lind died in 1990. She will be missed by many, including her sons, Steven R. Mercier and Mark R. Mercier both of South Hadley, Mitchell R. Mercier of Granby, Gregg R. Lind of Minneapolis, MN, a brother, Bernard Popp, Jr. of Seattle, a sister, Madeline Chilton of Bedford, MA, several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The calling hours will be Friday from 4-6 pm at the CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley. The funeral and burial will be private. The family requests that no flowers be sent, but instead, they prefer donations may be made in Judith's memory to Hampton Beach Village District, and may be sent to Mitchell Mercier, 48 Lamb Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
