Julia Walag

East Longmeadow-Julia Walag, 92, died Tuesday in Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was born in Ludlow, daughter of the late Mikolaj and Antonina Walag and lived in Springfield for most of her life before moving to East Longmeadow six years ago. She graduated from Western New England College and worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for The Chapman Valve Company. Julia was a lover of animals, especially dogs and birds, enjoyed gardening and cooking, volunteered at the Senior Center and was a notary public. She leaves a niece Delores Jones and her son Jamieson Jones of Agawam. The funeral will be Monday at 11 am at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
