AGAWAM – June "Josephine" (Farrell) Taylor, 73, died Friday at home. Proud of her Scotish Heritage, June was born in Greenock, Scotland, and came to the United States in 1972 settling in South Hadley. She has lived in Holyoke, West Springfield, Springfield before moving to Agawam in 2007.  A graduate of the Greenock Girl's School and George's College in Greenock, she worked as a teacher for the Head Start Program in Holyoke and was a Governess for many years in the Springfield Area. She will be remembered for her smile, sensitivity, thoughtfulness and outgoing personality. Her husband Harry Taylor died in 2009 and her son Allan Taylor died in 2006. She leaves a daughter Lesley Murray of Brookfield; three grandchildren James, Nicole and Christine Murray, her brother-in-law George Taylor and his wife Jean and their children Ross and Scott Taylor. June also leaves a very dear friend Christine Hynes Coughlan of East Brookfield. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St., Agawam 10:00am on Wednesday with burial at the convenience of the family.
