Obituary

Karen Marie (Mallette) Sellers, 55, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2015, at her home in Sacramento after a two and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Her husband, Tom, and a few friends were by her side. Karen was born August 22, 1959 in Springfield to the late Andre and Lena (Greco) Mallette. Karen was a project manager for the environmental testing firm TestAmerica in West Sacramento. She loved travel, beading jewelry, straw bale gardening, music festivals, red wine and her many friends and family. In additon to her husband, Thomas, survivors include her brother, Kenneth Mallette of Boston, her aunts, Florence "Betty" Baszak of Feeding Hills, Jeanne Duga of Agawam, and numerous cousins. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, May 16 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, both in Feeding Hills. Calling hours will preced the Mass at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street on Saturday from 8:30 - 10:30am. Upon her instruction, Karen was cremated. A gathering of friends and family will also be held on June 21 in Sacramento.
