Katherine J. (Dunne) Yvon, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on February 19, 2016. She was born in Springfield July 15, 1921 to Thomas and Beatrice (Mitchell) Dunne. Kay was a 1939 graduate of the High School of Commerce. She was a branch manager for many years with the Springfield Institution for Savings retiring in 1982. Kay enjoyed reading, playing bridge, summers at the Rhode Island shore and all family gatherings. She leaves her four sons, William of Sun City West, Arizona, Robert (Christine) of Springfield, Thomas (Lillian) of Westfield and Richard (Jill) of East Longmeadow; her sister Patricia DiSanti of Longmeadow, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Bob in 2010, and brothers Phillip, Bernard, Michael and Arthur and by her beloved granddaughter Marie Yvon in 1991. The funeral will be Monday at 10 am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Holy Cross Church, Plumtree Road, Springfield at 11 am.
