WEST SPRINGFIELD – Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Nawracaj) Chmura Frohock, 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at home, surrounded by family. Kathy was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Edmund J. and Hilda (Pelletier) Nawracaj, grew up in Chicopee, and attended Chicopee High School. She moved to West Springfield and has lived in West Springfield for the last 50 years. She had worked at the former Uniroyal Factory in Chicopee and Charlie’s Diner in West Springfield. She loved to travel, play bingo, watch the Red Sox and music. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Larissa Giard and the team at Hospice Life Care for their exceptional care, kindness and support during Kathy’s final journey. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Charles K. Frohock in 2013. She leaves a son and his wife, Charles K. Frohock, Jr. and Brittney Frohock of Feeding Hills, two daughters, Christina F. Phillips and her husband Mathew Phillips of West Springfield, Cynthia Stulpin of Springfield, a stepdaughter, Donna Lacey of Londonderry, NH, a brother, Eugene Nawracaj, three sisters, Beverly Pasay, Marlene Peloquin, Linda Nawracaj, eight grandchildren, William Stulpin, Paige and Rachel Matteson, Johnathan and Samantha Phillips, and Audrey, Caroline and Savannah Frohock, nieces, nephews and her former husband, William Chmura of Springfield. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Daniel Nawracaj, Edmund Nawracaj, three sisters, Jeannie Garrow, Anne Condon, Elaine Stanton and a grandson, Ben Stulpin, III.
