Northampton- Kathleen M. Walker, 55, of 20 Charles St. died suddenly Monday January 3, 2011 at home. She was born in Northampton, October 7, 1955, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary "Mae" (Murphy) Walker. Kathy attended local schools, was a 1973 graduate of the former St. Michaels High School and was a 1977 graduate of the Greenfield Community College School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for many years including Kaiser Permanente in Amherst and Womancare in Hadley and was a member of the Mass. Nurses Assn. and a communicant of the former Blessed Sacrament Church. Besides her mother she leaves her beloved daughter Sarah Walker-Wujciak with whom she lived, her brother Jeffrey of Northampton and several cousins including Susan Berlin, Julie Berger and Connie Stripling all of CT. The funeral will be held Friday at 3pm from the Ahearn Funeral Home 783 Bridge Rd. Northampton. Burial will be private and calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm.
