Kathryn M. (Margarites) Cecchetelli, 88, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late George R. And Mary V. (Deely) Margarites, she grew up in Springfield and moved to Chicopee in 1962. Kathryn enjoyed doing puzzles, reading magazines, but she got most of her enjoyment in taking care and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Richard B. Cecchetelli died in 2016. She leaves a son, Richard B. Cecchetelli, Jr. of Chicopee, a daughter and her husband, Karen L. and Brian Thresher of Chicopee, a sister, Mary Wodell of Chicopee, four grandchildren, Gina Cecchetelli, Alyssa Desroches and her husband Benjamin Desroches, Brianna Thresher-Young and her husband Bryant Young, April Thresher, a great-grandson, Jordan Young and two great-granddaughters, Summer Desroches and Penelope Desroches.  Calling hours are Monday, July 20, 2026 from 9-10am at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield followed by a funeral home service at 10. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
