Keith E. Ackley, 63, of Blandford MA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday August 29, 2018. Beloved son of the late Alan and Marilyn (Smith) Ackley. Keith proudly grew up, lived and raised a family in Blandford with his wife of 31 years Marie Christine (Brassard) Ackley. Along with his wife he also leaves his four children, Jeffrey Costello, Jodie Marie (Costello) Griffith, Jennifer Costello, and Jessi Lynn Ackley. He also leaves his brother Barry Ackley, sisters Wendy Ackley and Sharyn Ackley. His niece Meagan Beohm. Keith was predeceased by his sister Lynn Ackley and brother Bruce Ackley. With family being most dear to his heart he also leaves many adored grandchildren, including his best buddy Dylan, one great nephew and one great-grandson. He worked as a contract carrier for the Eagle Express Lines, Inc. In his earlier years he worked for Brainard Landscaping, as well as the Superintendent of Watson Park in Blandford. He later was the Superintendent at Tekoa Country Club in Westfield for many years. Keith spent decades volunteering as a member of the Blandford Fire Department where he then retired as Deputy Fire Chief. Growing up in Blandford he was a founding member of the Blandford BUZZ team where he established many valuable friendships that he cherished all of his life. He was known always for his kindness to all who knew him. He will be forever missed and loved by his family and friends. The funeral home service will be Friday September 7, at 6:30 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service on Friday from 4:00 to 6:30 pm.
