Keith P. Gendreau
1988-2014
FEEDING HILLS – Keith P. Gendreau, 25 of Halladay Drive passed away Friday morning in Baystate Medical Center. Keith was born in Springfield and lived in Agawam all his life. He was educated in Agawam Schools and attended the Connecticut Culinary Institute in Hartford. He worked as a chef in various restaurants locally and in Boston and most recently at Bentley's Bistro in East Longmeadow. He had a strong passion for music; learning to play the guitar at a young age and then spending countless nights teaching himself new songs and getting together with friends to play music. He leaves his parents George and Philomena (Finnerty) Gendreau; a sister Nicole B. Gendreau her fiancé Brian Holden and their daughter Sage and her brother Chase, his paternal grandparents George and Christina Gendreau aunts and uncles Richard and Cathy Gendreau, Lorraine Maguire, Pat and Marcella Finnerty, Gerry and Helen Finnerty , Martin and Marie Finnerty and Christopher and Patricia Finnerty. He also leaves many cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. The only thing that outshined his love of music was his love for his niece Sage and nephew Chase. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 10.00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army, or Western Massachusetts Narcotics Anonymous.
