Kurt H. Neukamm

1923 – 2019

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Kurt H. Neukamm, 95 passed away Tuesday in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Stuttgart, Germany, he came to West Springfield as an infant and has lived here his entire life.  A 1941 graduate of West Springfield High School, he attended Mass Trade School in Boston and Tool Design School in Scranton, PA.  He was a World War II Army Veteran and served with the 68 ^th Battalion in the European and Asiatic-Pacific Theater.  He was a 30-year employee of Monsanto.  He leaves his wife Charlotte (Krauter) Neukamm; two children Ira Kohler and her husband Peter of Rockland and Robert Neukamm of West Springfield and a grandson Peter Kohler.  He was predeceased by his sister Ilse Watson.  A private graveside service will be held in Paucatuck Cemetery.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
