Laurie A. Oyler, age 62 , died unexpectedly at Baystate Medical Center on Thursday, June 26th.  Born in Chicopee to the late Norman and Ruth Oyler she was a communicant at Grace Episcopal Church and educated in Chicopee schools, graduating from AIC with a degree in Finance. Laurie married her sweetheart Craig Bartish on 11-11-11 in Mexico. Laurie's career evolved with her retiring as the Director of Municipal Reimbursement for L.P.V.E.C.

Laurie was kindhearted, and funny. Her smile lit up the room and she would give you the shirt off her back. She was a gentle soul and loved unconditionally by her friends. Laurie had a love of gardening, cooking, reading, and traveling with a special talent for growing and making food for people she loved. Laurie always had a good story to tell of her adventures and travels. She was someone who had a love of life, and lived it to the fullest, along with her cherished dog Jack.

In addition to her parents, Laurie was predeceased by her husband Craig Bartish and three brothers, Bruce, James and John Oyler. Laurie is survived by her sisters; Barbara Oyler Roberts and her husband Leland, Candy Oyler and her fiancé George Cooper, along with her three step children Katie, Brian, Nicholas and their significant others. She leaves four nieces and nephews, Jennifer Walsh, Melissa Oyler, Patrick Oyler, Timothy Oyler, and their significant others and children: Antwan, Aniyah, Deianeira, Donovan, Evan, and Natalia.

Friends are invited to share memories of Laurie and join the family in a celebration of her life during the visitation at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield on Tuesday July 8 from 9:00am until the service at 11:00am, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.
