Lawrence Bay, 64, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at home. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he lived most of his life in South Hadley. He was a 1971 graduate of South Hadley High School. Larry was an executive director of the adult education organization for Holyoke Works – Chamber of Commerce for over thirty years. His passions included fishing, traveling and listening to music. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking (like a pro) and watching all sorts of movies. He leaves his wife, Angelika (Afinogenova) Bay, his daughter, Karina Bay of South Hadley, his parents, Joseph A. and Ruth M. (McLean) Bay of South Dennis, MA, a brother, John Bay of Maine a sister, Susan Bay of Vermont, and two cats, Mr. Moto and Checkers. His family and friends will never forget how funny, personable, giving and loving he was. A memorial service will be held at a later date. CURRAN-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family.
